Comprehensive youth ministry requires many things of a youth minister including; a focus on building authentic mentoring relationships, careful planning and programming, building a volunteer team, and working collaboratively with parents, the Pastor and parish staff. Fortunately there are great administrative tools that can help the youth minister be more effective and productive. Too often youth ministers who provide great programming and outreach are overwhelmed by the administrative side of youth ministry. They struggle to find the time and expertise to plan calendars, run budgets, and manage their time to outreach to all teens. Their great plans are not communicated and marketed in a timely manner and the youth minister falls into the role of being a one man or woman show. The stress and time burdens can quickly overwhelm a passionate and committed youth minister. When the right computer software and planning tools are used the youth minister can reach out and bring others into the ministry, allowing them to share their gifts, reach even more teens and lighten the load on the youth minister.
